Features of a defect insurance on traded existing houses (when the seller is NOT a real estate agent)
The defect insurance on traded existing houses has two kinds of products:
when the seller is a real estate agent; when the seller is NOT a real estate agent.
The defect insurance on traded existing houses covers the major structural parts
and the parts to prevent rain water leakage with the insurance term of 5 years.
The defect insurance on traded existing houses pays the repair cost of a defect
found in the covered parts in the traded house.

When the seller is NOT a real estate agent

An insured will be an inspection body that carries out an inspection of an existing house that is sold by somebody other than a real estate agent. The insurance money will be paid when the inspection body performs a defect warranty liability.

1.Procedures to take out the insurance for inspection bodies
Registration of an inspection body at an AHWI member housing insurance company
Application for a defect insurance on traded existing houses (per one trading contract)
Inspection of the house by the housing insurance company and/or inspection body
Application for issuance of the insurance policy (prior to the handover)
Receipt of the insurance policy (upon handover)

*In case where a housing supplier is not able to carry out his
/her warranty liability due to bankruptcy or other reasons, the figure will be 100% instead of 80%.
